Read the manual carefully

Most problems or malfunctions can easily be resolved yourself

Some common causes of problems are:

  • 1. Chimney cap too low – The cap should be fully extended and screwed only a few turns into the exhaust.
  • 2. Heat Shield Incorrectly Installed – Each GMG model requires a specific measurement for heat shield installation.
  • 3. Grease trap plate not properly aligned, causing the brass temperature sensor on the left side of the BBQ to measure incorrectly.
  • 4. Defective igniter. The igniter is a wearing part and will therefore need to be replaced periodically. The grill can always be ignited manually with a burner or similar, in case the igniter is defective.
  • 5. Burner pot not cleaned.

Top BBQ

After having a GMG Daniel Boone for 5 years, I switched to the Ledge 2.0 with SideBURN in early May. Absolutely fantastic, just that crust of low & slow smoking. I missed something before.

Ideal holiday BBQ

After much comparison between different brands of pellet grills, still for the TREK from GMG. No pellet grill is really portable for 1 person, but the cooking surface, the height in the BBQ, the App and the 12 volt connection voltage have convinced me. Just plug it in at the beach in the car, and go…
